Gio PONTI

A graduate of the Milan Polytechnic in 1921, Gio PONTI was appointed director at the Monza biennale in Italy. he launched the famous DOMUS review in 1928, of which he made an international reference, still published today. Architect and designer, PONTI collaborates successively with Richard Ginori (1923-1930), Fontana Arte (1933), Venini (1946-1950) or Cassina (1955). Most of the great Italian designers have been trained in his firm: Tito AGNOLI, Gianfranco FRATTINI … From classical or industrial inspiration, his now iconic creations are known worldwide as symbols of “Dolce vita”.
